The smell of printed paper… Leafing for the hundredth time through the editions that are still smelling as if they are just off the press… A certain feeling that we are speaking! It somehow started to live…It started to breathe even stronger!… "

The beginnings
AND THERE WAS Dentitia. June 4, 1994 has a symbolic meaning for Dentitia, it is the D-Day. It was then that Dentitia was given its Soul by a small group of enthusiastic students- its idea and content postulates were established. In a short period of time it is Embodied- it gets its visual index, easily recognisable and stylish( the form and the design correspond with the contents within). It enriches with a Youthful charm the First Student Dentistry Congress ( on 23.7.1994). The successful promotion ties a beautiful bow on it as a lucky charm in the process of finding its way to the hearts of the current and future generations of students and professors. It was promoted by Dragan Veleski, a professor at the Faculty of Dentistry, Skopje. The beautifully packaged gift that was Dentitia was unraveled hungrily by all the people interested in the printed media, the science of dentistry, culture and entertainment. The days between 23-26.2. 1995 are holidays for Dentitia. At the Student Dentistry Congress in Istanbul , Turkey ( organised by IOSS- the International Organisation of Dentistry Students) Dentitia was named the best student dentistry magazine. The words of support are always welcome generators of positive creative energy. Dentitia draws from the youthful Enthusiasm and Spirit in order to be always New, Original, Alive, Ours… The six successful editions have seen the light of day, the seventh is in the stages of intensive creation, but some of the articles from the seventh edition are already available for reading on the Internet.

Contents
The editorial concepts of the idea and esthetic contents are not rigid, they are open to creative flexibility and inspiration dictated by the Spirit of the Times. However, in order for the basic contents to avoid falling into creative chaos, Dentitia follows the general principle of subordination of the content; texts that belong to the domain of science and texts from the domain of culture.

In the first part, Dentitia dedicates space to scientific issues covering all the stomatological disciplines ( scientific news, works by students in collaboration with teachers and professors, short reviews of the newly published books from the field of science).

In the cultural domain, there are contents that include texts by authors- essays, interesting surveys that cover interesting issues and try to determine public opinion, texts inspired by the Spirit of art ( film, music, theater and literature).

The entertainment section contains a comic strip and a special entity Caries profunda which is undoubtedly the most relaxing impulse which adds a charming note to Dentitia.

Dentitia educates, satisfies the cultural and the esthetic impulses, cheers you up…

Goals
Dentitia respects its own credo- the intellectual is a complete person ; the definition of the intellectual includes not only a high level of education and expertise of a person, but also its potential and accomplished creative characteristics. The intellectual in the broader sense of the word is a versatile person, with a great intellect and a broad range of knowledge of a variety of natural, civilizational and cultural terms. In that perspective, in the perspective of its own credo, Dentitia rounds off its existence. The ideas and goals are multidimensional and with every new inclusion of members to Dentitia, the goals get richer. Practically , every member of Dentitia has a Goal of its own. However, there is one goal that unites us all – bringing each other closer on a scientific and cultural level through the possibilities that the printed medium offers us. Will give some of the Dentitia postulates now;

• affirmation of closer collaboration of assistants with students where the student is directly involved in a certain field, after which he gives his own formed point of view concerning the mater in the press.
• valorisation of all the creative, inspirational and artistic potentials of the students.
• Bringing to attention all the problems that concern the Faculty and student life.

Dentitia has the honor to be the first Macedonian student magazine whose pages are available for reading in the fastest, most efficient, and modern way. The Era of the Modern Age with all its potentials has not forgotten dentistry, on the contrary, dentistry has started to use the most contemporary trends on the filed of communications- the Internet....
