Valentina Sterjova ,President 1997/98 :

The Ad Hoc Committee examined all the papers , which had been given to us by the former Treasurer , and the former President .We have to tell You that the receipts and the papers were not ordered at all , so it was not very easy to make a decision .As you may read in the attached letter writen by the Immediate Past President , she showed all the receipts we asked for , and she got money for it . However the Committee has found that mentioned expences very high , because she claimed for aproximately 2000 USD for the phone bills for two years , wich compared to the Macedonian annual salary she reported about in the last paragraph seems to be bit overexposed . Also the flight ticket from Belgrade to London is a bit too much according to our opinion and the usual European prices . Concerning Macedonian sources a BUS return ticket from Skopje to Belgrade costs 45 DEM (~25 USD) and from Skopje to Thessaloniki 40 DEM (~20USD) .She also did not mention the money paid to her in Croatia in cash by the Treasurer .
After summarizing her expences she claims for more 1661 GBR .

Therefore theCommittee has decided to propose the following to the GA to decide about :

We woudn`t pay any further money to her until she gaves us a more detailed report , for which she has the oppurtunity at the MYM in Budapest ,February 2000 .

 

Rosana Hanke , Genral Secretary ,1997-8

All her papers were in order ,thought we still owe her the amount of her flight from Puerto Rico to Barcelona

Maja Cede, Treasurer 1997-8 :

She claimed for expences which we did not find appropriate ( for example :car hire in Orlando ) , and she was paid as well , but we suppose that it would be extremly hard to get any money back from her .

Christopher Orr , Immediate Past President , 1997-8 :

We have found everything in order concerning his expences .

 

To avoid such situations in future we would propose to the GA to accept limited travel expences for the ExCo .A separate proposal is attached .
